While a Record Played
I wrote and recorded an album of eleven songs. The record is called While a Record Played.
Nine have lyrics. One is an instrumental (Compay) and one is spoken word (Ode to Guille).
The cover art is an exquisite oil painting of Columbia Lake by Denise Lemaster who is also my mom.
The recording was done in one day at the end of April at Jeff Kynoch’s Farmhouse Studio in Acme, Alberta. I recommend any and all musicians to go to Jeff for recording purposes!
I play harmonica, acoustic guitar and sing on it. The music is country folk blues indie singer/songwriter type stuff. The recording process was meant to be raw, in the moment, imperfect.
As Zach Bryan would say… hope you don’t hate it!
